The 2011 Hillsdale Democratic caucus nominated Art Baer (Supervisor) and Ruth Dodds (Town Clerk). Though they're obviously not Dems, they were nonetheless nominated (overwhelmingly) by the Caucus - that should stand for something.
Hear ya, loud and clear. What's up with that? M. Baer is so obviously more qualified and financially astute than your usual run-of-the-mill town supervisor! We're lucky to have him and the Dems were smart to select him as their candidate!
